It’s always difficult to start a journey and the first steps will almost surely be sabotaged by personal worries, too little time, fear of the unknown, misconceptions, indecisiveness, and definitely by lack of geographical knowledge. So then why not start with a map? A map of one’s own emotions that have been lying abandoned for too long like a dusty summer road in the middle of …nowhere.

The first sales of GO DESi happened at a flea market. It was a milieu of products sourced from a farmer cooperative in Sirsi, it was not even called GO DESi then.
Next came NSRCEL (IIM Bs Startup Incubator) who helped us with placing our products in the IIM B canteen. We also sampled our products in all mentor meetings, conferences and pitch presentations. Read more “Building Blocks”

What is with tamarind that wakes up the taste bud like no other fruit. We, Indians have been using tamarind since the time of Mahabharat and Vedas. We have been blessed indeed with a stretch of land that truly encompasses countless natural wonders and as part of this mythical subcontinent, the south of the country seems a magical realm in itself. Especially to the eyes of a northern bred kid:)

GO DESI just launched a yummy healthy snack called Sukkeli, which is really tiny gummy bits of naturally dried Elaichi banana or “kari bale”, how we like to call them down south.
You might wonder what’s the relation between the Sukkeli banana bites & independence and we might have never found out the story either hadn’t we travelled to Ashok’s small banana farm in Gollikai village. Read more “Bananas & Independence”
